Vaasa Gate

The western gate out of Bloodstone Valley leads to Vaasa, giving this fortress its name. It is made up of boxy solid stone structures and tall walls that block the entire passage from peak to peak. Consisting of 3 seperate wall/fortress sections (the last most southerly one having a strong river that flows into the valley) this gate is extremely difficult to penetrate solely with ground forces.
Using a black dragon and winged infernal troops the Witch King Zhengyi was able to attack Vaasa Gate from the interior side successfully taking it in a surprise attack that started The First Bloodstone War in 1341. It would not be liberated until Zhengyi himself was killed almost 25 years later in the autumn of 1365.
