The Elvish People

The most common elves of the region are Wood Elves, but there are Silver Elf lineages that have lived in the region for many centuries. There are very few Gold Elves except those who have traveled here from elsewhere. There are no Sea Elves in either of the lakes of Bloodstone, nor in the lake bordering the shore of the Capital of Helio'Qytet. Drow are known to exist and operate in the Galenas, and while their numbers are not insignificant their presence is rarely directly seen.
Gold Elf (High Elf)
Gold Elves (or archaically Sunrise Elves as they were once known) are the oldest of the Elvish people. They are possessed of bronze skins and hair of copper, black, or blonde. Their eyes are golden, silver, or black. Gold Elves tend to be recognized as the most civilized of the elven subraces and the most aloof from mankind. The majority of the native elves of Evermeet are Gold Elves. Half-Elves with Gold Elf heritage are uncommon.
Gold Elves are functionally identical to High Elf (PHB.23)

Silver Elf/Moon Elf (High Elf)   More numerous are the Moon Elves (also called Silver Elves in this northeast region of Faerûn) who are much paler, with faces of bleached white tinged with blue. Silver Elves usually have hair of silver-white, black, or blue, though all reported colors normally found in men and Elves may be found in this species. Their eyes are blue, or green, and have gold flecks. They tend to tolerate human civilizations the best out of the elven subraces, and the majority of adventuring elves and Half-Elves are of Silver/Moon Elf heritage. The presence of Silver Elves in the region stems from the fact that the city of Tellerth is built upon the site of an ancient elvish city. To this day the city of Tellerth is still flush with the magics of an earlier time when elves were ascendant across Faerûn.
Silver/Moon Elves are functionally identical to High Elf (PHB.23)

Wood Elf   Wood Elves (also called Wild Elves if their culture is sufficiently degenerate or debased) are found natively in Bloodstone Valley throughout all of the forests. Overall Wood Elves are reclusive and distrusting of all creatures that are not touched by the Feywild, in particular humankind. The Wood Elves of Faerûn are not as long lived as their Gold and Silver cousins having lifespans of only 300 years or so. Their skin tend to be copperish in hue, with tinctures of green, their hair tends towards browns, and blacks with occasional blondes and copper-colored natives, and their eyes green, brown, or hazel. Their blood is very potent and when a child is born to a couple where one parent is Wood Elvish, that child is almost always a full Wood Elf and rarely any type of Half-Elf. Of note in Bloodstone Valley are the Wood Elves of Iron Timber who are closely aligned with their Centaur neighbors there.
Wood Elves (and Wild Elves) use Wood Elf (PHB.24)

Dark Elf   Dark Elves (Drow, or pejoratively Night Elves) are the most sinister and evil of the elvish subraces. It is as if their existence is meant to balance the tranquility and goodness of their cousins with unrepentant maliciousness and evil. Drow have jet black skin that resembles nothing so much as polished obsidian, and eyes and hair of stark white. The variations common of the other elvish types are missing here. Most of this fell subrace have been driven into the Underdark and are shunned by all other elves. Half-Drow are particularly cursed, being hated by both their native Drow (who view them as impure abominations) and by almost all surface dwellers (who see only their evil heritage). They can be found working as assassins, mercenaries, or worse across parts of Vaasa and rarely elsewhere.
Dark Elves use Dark Elf (Drow) (PHB.24)
