Shavespike Settlement in The Lost Archipelago | World Anvil

Shavespike

As of its completion, Shavespike is the largest of the settlements in the Western Slag Lands and is the self-proclaimed de facto capital. The settlement is walled on all but the lakeside. (6) The Copperpath Gate is the only land-based entrance into the town, protected by guard towers and a thick portcullis. (7) The northmost part of the town holds the Alchemist Zone, divided from the main sections of Shavespike by wide roads to prevent the spread of the alchemical fires that occur far too often. (3) The largest and most central building is the Guild Masters Hall where all meetings of import are held. (2) Next to the Hall is the Temple of the Burnished Order, a zealous holy order that protects the Goldwing and conducts religious services in the local area. (4) The Crafters District is where the many artisans ply their craft, each hoping to one day be invited to the Guild Masters Hall for review. (1) The Steelbrew District contains what the locals consider the most important building, the Steelbrew Brewery, this is where Steelbrew is processed, fermented and turned into the favored alcoholic beverage. Floating docks store the fleets that collect the Steel-Leaf (5) The Clockworks contains many oddities built and designed by eccentric inventors, varying from children's toys to mechanical animals, there is even rumor that a motorized-carriage is in the works. The rest of the town contains the cramped homes of the population.
