Harvest's Bounty

The city of Harvest’s Bounty was founded by the All-Point’s Legion on the northern shores of the Aqshy island. Now that the fertile lands had been secured behind the walls of Prosperity's Gate, the people of the region could be gathered and taught the splendor of life under the watchful gaze of the necrotopia. Using their advanced architectural prowess and the power of the Boneshapers, great aquatic beast remains were pulled from where they beached themselves along the coast and put to use building a massive port.

With this city’s walls and cove grown and protected by the ossified walls and structures provided by the remains of these beasts, the Legion called forth the souls of various sages and wise people from ages past on the island. These were given new bodies and put to work teaching the living populace. Better ship building, farming techniques, and all the latest in productive technology were innovated in the city. Whereas Prosperity’s Gate was the premier place to study warfare and magic, Harvest’s Bounty sought to fund an ever growing populace and any future wars.

As a gathering place for people of disparate tribes that once battled each other, Bounty takes after Gate by having a representative council make decisions for the city. Whereas Gate had a two-tiered council though, one for the living and one for the dead, Bounty largely is directly ruled by the living. A Soulmason and an Liege-Kavalos are stationed as titular heads of the city, the Kavalos to coordinate any needed defense and the Soulmason acting as a sort of rarely used veto in case an action by the city is deemed contrary to the crucial interests of the Realm at large. Otherwise the living decide best how to keep the flow of goods and services rolling. While this may seem like a lot of freedom for the Ossiarchs to give, they also control the education system in the city. The bone constructs housing the souls of perfected sages and tutors instruct the children of the land, and so the Legion is confident that the mortal councils will make reasonable decisions.

The city now plies the seas in bonecraft that resembles the great oceanic mega-predators whose bones were used in the crafting. They make a brisk trade with the city of Sartosa down the coast and look to make contact with other cities that have been visited by the strangers from other lands. Only one thing shadows their horizon for now, a gleaming tower that the Ossiarchs warned them houses ignorant pawns of the thunder god, Sigmar, who will try to steal their souls and force them to worship the coward god who will never show himself.
