Crookers

These fearful but hardy folk call the Sucking Bog Lands lands home. They travel by stilt, testing the depth and solidity of the soil before stabbing down to continue their path. Their speech is dry, and nervous laughter is normal when conversing with outsiders. Crookers have a strange affinity to raising crows and have their own communication method with the birds, they even go as far as creating elaborate costumes to attract more crows. They live in raised homes, keeping most of the Bogland creatures at bay. As a funeral rite, they create a raft filled with mementos of the deceased and send it to the middle of Lake Sturn.
