Archet

Nestled among the trees of the Chetwood, the tiny village of Archet is home to a few families of hunters and wood-cutters. The most isolated of the Bree-land village, the folk of Archet are considered odd by their neighbors to the south.

Demographics

Mostly humans with one or two hobbit families.

Government

Archet sends its best bowman to serve on the Bree Council each year. Internal disputes in the village are adjudicated by the Royal Forrester.

Defences

Archet survives by stealth and skill more than by any special defensibility. It is home to many skilled archers and woodsmen.

Architecture

Homes in Archet are wood rather than stone as a rule, but they also have a peculiar habit of building some homes in trees, either raised off the ground on platforms or dug into hills among the roots of great trees. The whole town is a dozen or so buildings scattered about a clearing in the Chetwood.
