Levithia Species in The Locket | World Anvil

Levithia

Fae-like beings that flock to specific levires, levithia have been seen throughout history, but have always been mistaken for energy clusters. During solcret, they can be seen flitting to and from the levires, bringing energy to them. By absorbing energy into their auras, they can transport it easily. These auras are also nearly impossible to breach, making theft of energy impossible.

They can be quite spacey and detached from the rest of Alatheia, unused to the environment unlike Kryleatorea. Their forms are transparent and wispy, made of misty particles that cause rainbows when in sunlight. When in more solid forms, their eyes stay of solid color, often with mist leaking from them.

Due to the fact that levires keep the levithia alive, they can only travel so far from their own levires. This distance varies from type of levithia and levires, as well as the individual.

Healthy levithia have three to six pairs of wings, pulsating energy signatures, strong voices, and a seemingly endless mist seeping from them. Height varies depending on biome, although healthy levithia are at least 3’8’ and it is highly unlikely for one to be taller than 5’4.

Once a levires dies, their levithia become as small as a stereotypical fairy. They may lose a pair of wings, and it is rare for one to sing. Levithia are quite harmless, only hurting another if absolutely necessary. The song of a levithia is similar to that of a siren, as it tends to lure people in. The difference is that Levithia don’t harm people, and usually will vanish once they realize they have an audience.

Levi tears have traces of minerals in them that correspond to their levires and biome. Bottles of levi tears are extremely rare, but they do exist.
