Fannar Februah

Fannar is one of the last of his kind. As the oldest Evad Eladrin left alive and the only representative of Winter, Fannar remembers a time where the Evad Eladrin were hundreds in number, he intimately recalls the stories of Orom'Rye's fall, he distinctly remembers Idyllis when the sun's rays still reached her trees and flowing waters, and he was there when Idyllis fell to the clutches of the Mind Blight. Once, Fannar knew the fire and passion of Summer, yet found little revelry in Autumn, even after his son – Aragon – had taken up the mantle to protect the Evad in true. Fannar rarely drank or indulged; he preferred to write and weave tales of what he could recall of Idyllis. When the elders before him returned to the earth, Fannar transitioned to Winter far earlier than expected... and he soon became the only Winter remaining: the sole elder and overseer of the records of Grand Aetheria and the funeral rites for the dead.

Despite being old and frail, having lived through the fall of Idyllis, having lost his own son to the Mind Blight, and having watched his people wither and die in a seemingly vain attempt to defend Grand Aetheria... Fannar remains optimistic, jovial, and hopeful. Although representing the wisdom and reflection of Winter, he embraces the revelries of Autumn, the passions of Summer, and the hopes and joys of a new Spring. Many view Fannar as delirious, living in a world of constructed fantasy as a means to cope with all he has seen, experienced, and lost. Perhaps Fannar does view the world through distorted lenses. Or, perhaps, his outlook is merely a reflection of winter's frozen wisdom still yet to be revealed with the coming thaw.
