Anatomy
The Dragonling is a lesser Stasis elemental. They don't stay in the Stasis realm, instead they are instructed by the gods to serve as guardians to families that the gods deem appropriate. Being creatures of Stasis and Order even their breeding is very specifically structured to balance the large amount of magical power they hold. A dragonling can only breed twice in their life, once at 75 years and again at 150 before their death after their second breeding cycle, though luckily being magical beings they do not need a mate to breed, they just need a person who is in need of a guardian.
Famous dragonlings have been
Archimedes who was the guardian to Dacen Nothius until his self imposed exile then Samuel Eshpard until his own exile, and finally Seven before returning to Dacen upon her death
Turrett was the son of Archimedes who was the Luxord family guardian, first to Jeager, then Serrure Luxord, and finally Aria Luxord until her death before returning to Serurre.
Flurry is the daughter of Turrett, charged with the protection of Whis Luxord
Dia, the second child of Archimedes who is the guardian of Mia Nothius Queen of Arcadia.
