The Homely City

Final home of the Seafaring race

Demographics

The city has an ever growing refugee district that is split into ethnic factions. A large number of them are suspected to be from the lost peoples, the followers of Shadow who are spurned by their gods.

Government

Run by the Council of Elders, the City is considered a classical democracy. The Elders merely manage the kingdom's overall wealth and are often voted in based on their lineage and connection to the ancient tribal ways of the Seaborn. In reality, the Elders wield the power of kings.

Defences

The city has only one defense of import, the Twins of Apathy. One of these legendary warriors can always be found in the lonely fortress of Dashing Waves. They rarely accept visitors, except during times of grave peril.

Industry & Trade

They trade mostly in food, but the Seaborn have a closely guarded secret that nets most of their income. They are the only source for potions in the world, driving the prices through the roof.

Infrastructure

The shipyards of Wanderlust are rivaled by none in the world.

Assets

The City has store enough to feed over a million people and has enough resources to mount two simultaneous disaster relief efforts to the other Capitals of the world.

Guilds and Factions

The Seamaidens, protectors of the deep are the knightly order that calls the city home. A small company of Phoenix Knights also resides in the city as a precautionary measure.

History

Founded shortly after the fall of Losthome, the Homely city has stood for millennia as a beacon of comfort in a world torn by war. The legend of the Seamaidens and their fair lady is known all over the world.

Architecture

The structures of the Seaborn are nothing special. They resemble overturned boats.

Geography

The City rests at the top of cliffs at the edge of Trader's Dream. The docks rest at the bottom of the cliffs and a winding path etched into the stone is the only way up. Solemn Coal, a Dragon as old as the city itself, carries cargo up and down the cliff side.

Natural Resources

The rainwashed plains provide large quantities of foodstuffs to the city, while the fishermen bring in huge hauls from the deep.
