Thadeous Brinwalt, Master Wizard of the The Western Kip has always been a solitary man. As far back as he could remember, he prefered being by himself at home with his books or while out in the open wild. All of that came to an end the night that Archdruid Malorne convinced him to watch over baby Kolv for him. The Archdruid died leaving Brinwalt as the childs sol protector and guardian. As it turns out, druids all across Radiance had been killed by the warlocks and so, to fulfill his promise to protect the child, he hid the truth of the childs true nature from everyone, even Kolv himself. He raised Kolv as an apprentice wizard. and has spent years watching the child struggle to summon magic he has no connection to while also searching for signs of his druidic nature revealing itself.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Thadeous is a large man, tall, broad shouldered, and heavyset. At the same time, he often appears smaller than he is beneith his robes and moves far more graceful than anyone might expect. His movements are always smooth and deliberate.

Body Features

On the back of his left hand is a small burn mark. Thadeous refers to it as a "reminder". He aquired it when he was an apprentice. He had rushed the casting a spell, forgot a word of safety, the resulting injury serves to always remind him to take his time.

Thadeous is never seen without his blue-green masters robe and staff.

Family Ties

Thadeous only has one living blood realitive remaining, a cousin that lives in Starlight city with her family. She has a husband and three children that are all grown up with children of their own. Some are Kolv's age.

Religious Views

Thadeous believes in the doctrines of the Elemental Wizards. That the elements are both natural forces of the world and also that they are living representations of magic that are to be honored and revered.

Social Aptitude

Thadeous is a solitary man, but he isn't a recluse. He listens to the people of Spiritvale and offers his services and advice whenever it is appropriate.

Mannerisms

Thadeous is quiet and gentle, like the calm before a storm. When action is needed, however, Thadeous becomes a powerful force. This is true just as much in conversation as it is in magic.

Hobbies & Pets

Thadeous, like most wizards, has a familair. This is a magical creature that assists with certain spells and other needs. Thadeous's familair most often takes the form of a barn owl, though Kolv has sworn that he had seen it once as a grasshopper.

Speech

Slow and steady is how Thadeous tends to speak. His voice is never loud, but is always able to be heard and understood. When pressed, Thadeous's voice can sound like a crack of thunder across a valley.
