Deathlord Nyx Malovo

One of the most powerful Warlocks in recent years to emerge from the Drylands. Nyx Marvolo saw how the Dark Sanctrimon, the Warlock leaders of old, had grown compacent in that they had accepted their fait, to die a slow death in the barren Southlands. He refused to accept such an end, and so Marvolo plotted and schemed, and then sprung his trap killing the old Warlock masters. Then, he rallied all that remained of the Warlocks, arranging for them to meet him just outside the Great Barrier south of Penumbra City. When they arrived, Marvolo tried to convince them of his plan to get past the barrier, but they wouldn't listen. A hooded Warlock openly defied him, it turned out to be Kael Blightcaller, one of the leader he had believed he killed. Nyx debated with the old warlock which soon became a battle for leadership. Nyx managed to defeat the ancient Warlock, winning the loyalty of the Coven in return. He directed them to drain the barrier with all their might, focusing on one specific point. Doing so was enough to overwhelm the shield, cracking it. Marvolo thrust his hands into the crack and began ripping the barrier apart. The deadly energies burned the skin of his hands and arms turning them black. When he finished, he sank to his knees, blackened arms smoking, before a man sized hole in the barrier. He drew a knife and etched a runic circle into the earth, then using the knife to cut his palm, let his blood flow into the rune sealing its magic. The magic would prevent the barrier from healing. Climbing back to his feet, the Deathlord Nyx Marlovo directed the Warlocks through the barrier to take control of Penumbra City and to slaughter every Druid they found.
In fulfilling this mission, Marvolo killed Archdruid Malorne.
