Malorne's Cabin
The cabin of Fenton Malorne is located deep within the northern border of The Western Kip. It is a small wood and stone cottage that is built into the side of a hill and has been overrun with plants, vines, mushrooms, weeds, bushes, and trees for many years. The wood is old and rotting. It still contains all of Fenton's possessions, including several books on Druidism.
Purpose / Function
This was the home of the Arch Druid Fenton Malorne before his untimely passing. Fenton was one of the most powerful Druids of his time.
Design
It is a simple looking home with one large room that contains a living space up front with two chairs, a fire place, books, and a lot of potted plants. In the back is a cooking area with an old stove, small counter top and a few cupboards. Off the right side of the space are two doors, each leading into two small bedrooms. One contains an adult sized bed, the other was in the midst of being converted into a nursery with a small wooden cradle in the middle.
Sensory & Appearance
It contains an earthy smell as a lot of the outdoor forest has grown into the house. The floors are wet, floorboards are warped with plants growing up from between them. The potted plants have taken over much of the space, having grown large and wild. The bedrooms are a little more put together, though the adult room's ceiling had partially caved in, covering the bed and part of the floor with dirt, rotted wood, and other debris.
Contents & Furnishings
Simple furniture adorns the cabin. Two wooden chairs, a small table, old bed, dresser, cradle, and small shelf filled with old books and a few scrolls. In the kitchen, there are the reminants of old food, long since picked over by wildlife and insects, pots and pans, and other utencils. Throughout the house are various plants of a wide variety. Many with magical properties when in the hands of a skilled alchemist or herbologist.
Valuables
Several of the books contain Druid texts which are exceptionally rare as the Warlocks had burned every Druid dwelling and article they have encountered.
Architecture
The house was simple, containing a front room with chair, fire place, and many plants and a few books. A kitchen sat in the back, and two small rooms branched off of it, one bedroom and one that was in the middle of being setup as a nursery.
