Northmen

The Northmen, known by the southerners as 'Berserks' are human warriors who forego conventional armor for the sake of speed. Their bare, battle-scarred flesh doesn't protect them much, but the speed and ferocity of the Berserks' attack gives them a definite edge, especially when they attack in groups. However, their eagerness to attack may make them difficult to control.   The Northmen traditionally hail from the Kingdom of Gower, but have since migrated north to the northern coasts, East of the Drowned Kingdom of Yer-Ks and along the north reaches of the Cloudspine. Northmen culture is centered around a Clan family structure. Many Clans are led by a Clan Father and a selection of nobles. During war time, the Clans will gather and send out their forces to support the Cath Bruig's call, leaving one or two clans behind to protect the homeland.   Many northmen, following the end of the various wars, remained in the various distant lands they fought in.   The Cath Bruig have enjoyed a strong positive relationship with them since before the Wolf Age.
