Personal history

Four Bear Silent Oak served as Heron Guard before the fall of Muirthemne. After he put down his swords, he went on to fight in the Great War, before settling into service as a scholar. When the War Against Soulblighter broke out, he went out with King Alric serving as both a healer, like the other journeymen and a researcher. When King Alric led the Legion east to reclaim Muirthemne, he sent General Fenris Duval-Aunrourke, Kyrand the Mage, n'Ric the fir'Bolg Archer and Four Bear Silent Oak to assist Lord Godfrey Volsung in the East. The campaign was a terrible ordeal, as they quickly determined that Lord Volsung was under attack by Cartucke the Tormentor, a fiend. After a nine month campaign, the     He, along with General Fenris Duval-Aunrourke, ne'Ric the fir'Bolg adventurer and Kyrand the Mage, were sent by King Alric to lead the 4th Legion of Madrigal, to assist Lord Godfrey Volsung in the East during the War Against Soulblighter. There they would lift the Undead siege of Meridia, befriending the Duke and his other companions. During the Eastern Campaign, under dubious circumstances, Lord Godfrey, and Kyrand the Mage, were killed in their final battle against The Tormentor, Cartucke. General Fenris was badly wounded and unable to prevent Kyrand from sacrificing himself to imprison Cartucke.  With Cartucke believed dead, Lord Godfrey's son, Geoffrey claimed that General Fenris had allowed or had even been complicit in the death of his father and Kyrand. Out of respect for his fallen friends, General Fenris went into exile along the wild edges of Ruewood, near where ne'Ric would later establish a fir'Bolg colony. Four Bear would return to Muirthemne to research what Cartucke and other arcana and to assist in the reformation of the Heron Guard. 10 years later, Four Bear would return after receiving visions of death and a call to go east. He located Fenris, now a hermit living in a shack in the woods, and together they sought out ne'Ric, who had established a fir'Bolg colony in Ruewood. It was soon learned that a witch had forced the banded wasps of Ruewood to attack all other living things in the forest, the fir'Bolg included. After assisting several war bands fir'Bolg in combating the banded wasp, they met with Swan's Crossing Militia and the Dwarven Irregulars from Brighton to secure the valley where Kyrand's Tomb lay. Once they reached the tomb, they were confronted by a witch, calling herself Kyrilla demanding that they turn over the item they are there to steal. They entered the tomb and took Kyrand's amulet. Then they escaped through a secret exit in Kyrand's tomb. Exiting the other side of the mountain, they joined forces with ne'Ric and his main war band from Ruewood and he defeated the banded wasps once and for all. They received word that Fenris was to meet a messenger from the Dukedom of Cavanaugh at a nearby cemetery. There they were ambushed and the messenger nearly slain. After defeating the ambush Kyrilla again appeared to challenge them. They escaped north and made haste for the Beachhead at Cavanaugh, outside of Meridia. There, Fenris and his company came upon another near ambush by Kyrilla. Comparing the letter that Fenris received from Duke Geoffery and a similar letter that Duke Geoffery received from Fenris revealed that they had both been deceived by Kyrilla, playing upon Fenris' desire to be redeemed for Duke Godfrey's death and Duke Geoffery's paranoia. With the deception now clear, Duke Geoffery assigned his personal guard to assist Fenris, ne'Ric and Four Bear. Together they assailed Kyrilla's keep, high in the mountains, the site where the final battle against Cartucke had taken place. Fighting their way through Kyrilla's forces, she was soon defeated them and faced Kyrilla herself. Despite Fenris' protests, Four Bear gave Kyrand's amulet to Kyrilla. The amulet contained extensive memories of Kyrand's intended for his daughter - Kyrilla. She quickly realized that she had been manipulated by Cartucke, who though, weak was nearly able to break free from his prison. Together, Fenris, Kyrilla, ne'Ric and Four Bear entered the catacombs beneath the keep to confront and kill Cartucke once and for all. However, in their final battle with Cartucke, Fenris and Kyrilla died together by being turned to stone, as ne'Ric fired his killing arrow to slay Cartucke once and for all. Leaving ne'Ric to mourn his fallen friends, Four Bear opted to send his report back to Muirthemne before heading East. He had received even more visions of death and destruction, more chilling and terrifying then before. He sought to find the whereabouts of Eight Coyote Comet and the survivors of the Phantom Hounds Regiment, who had disappeared all those many years before. Thus did Four Bear Silent Oak enter the Untamed Lands.
