The Secluded Wilds

The Secluded Wilds is a giant jungle to the east of Meydia. Its dense greenery stretches out further than any traveler has ever gone. The known part of the jungle is surrounded by mounts and highlands. Because the surrounding area of the jungle is near impassable, it has been called the Secluded Wilds. Little is truly known about the wilds, apart from the tribes of feline demi-human who are scattered throughout the discovered section of the jungle. One of them, the Shi'to tribe upholds a trading relationship with the people of Greenpath.
The wilds contain a wide variety of flora and fauna, each being just as dangerous to explore as the other. It is said that frenzied tigers as well as bloodthirsty reptiles stalk the woods day and night, not to mention the poisonous and man-eating plants that grow between the trees. Additionally, the ever-changing and dense vegetation makes the region impossible to map out. The tree canopies that cover the jungle keep out most sunlight, this, paired with frequent rainfalls and the humid climate, makes the wilds an awful place to traverse.
Apart from the Tabaxi tribes, it is not believed that there have ever been attempts to settle the jungle. Although explorers have searched, none have ever found any ruins of some kind. The only ancient records about the jungle, besides its existence, are about a gigantic bat creature that apparently lives somewhere in the jungle. The people of ancient times called it Kamazoths the Great Bat, and seemed to fear the creature enough not to set foot inside the jungle.
