Statue of Feathered Lightning
A stone statue of a small eagle, made to scale. The stone bird shows motifs of lightning across its wings and beak. By attuning to the statue a creature can call upon the spirit of a lightning eagle. To successfully attune to the statue, a creature must have a combined Strength and Charisma score of 28. If this requirement is not met, the creature with shocking grasp, hitting automatically and dealing 2d8 lightning damage. If successful, the creature will bond with the lightning eagle spirit, acquiring it as a companion. The spirit will remain contracted with the creature for as long as the statue is not destroyed or until a different creature attunes to the statue. The statue does not need to be in the vicinity of the attuned creature for the eagle to remain bonded to the attuned creature.
When bonded with the lightning eagle, it is treated as a familiar according to the Find Familiar spell. Additionally, the bonded creature may spend its bonus action to command the lightning eagle spirit to take action in combat. If no such command is given, the spirit will take no action on its turn. When the lightning eagle spirit is dismissed or dies, the bonded creature can resummon it at the end of a long rest by touching the statue or spending a 1st level spell slot if the statue is not around. Permanently dismissing the lightning eagle spirit will also remove the attunement with the statue. The lightning eagle spirit uses the stat block as described below.
