Staff of the red mage
A staff made from three sturdy white tree branches that wrap around each other and spread out around the top. The branches firmly hold together a rough-looking red prism that emits a faint glow and acts as a source of warmth.
The staff has a maximum of 10 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend a number of charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC: burning hands (1 charge), fireball (3 charges), or wall of fire (4 charges). Alternatively, you may spend a number of charges to enhance a spell that deals fire damage. The number of charges consumed is equal to half the spell slot's level (rounded up) +1. An enhanced spell is cast as if casting it with a one-level higher spell slot.
The staff regains 1d6 expended charges when being held in non-magical fire for at least one minute. This can be done only once every long rest. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the crystal at the top of the staff blackens and the staff loses its powers.
