Meeting a Living Legend

This event can kick off as the party travels between the settlements of the overworld, after having completed the Investigating the Wild Tribes quest.   Along the road leading through Arcon's Woods, the players may spot the corpses of huntsman belonging to the brigade and various demons. The trail of death leads off some into the wilderness and faint sounds of battle are heard. If the party moves in closer to investigate, they will wander upon a small open field. They are met with the aftermath of a vicious battle. In the center of the field stands a big muscular man. He's holding his glave pointed forward, an impaled demon hanging on the tip. As the party enters the field, the man notices them, gracefully dropping the beast. He introduces himself as The Great Zhars, making muscular poses while doing so.   Zhars explains the situation, stating that he encountered a group of hunters being overrun by demons. Alas, he was too late to save any of the hunters, so he took it upon himself to clear out the demons. Finding himself disappointed by the challenge the demons posed, he invites the players to have a sparring match with him, ensuring he will not use lethal force. He offers the players his shield as a reward for fighting him.   Because Zhars is far strong than the players, they are not expected to defeat him. Instead, when Zhars drops below 40% of his health, he will call off the fight, proclaiming the players to have done well enough to have satisfied his desire for battle. Alternatively, if Zhars knocks out every party member, the fighting will stop and Zhars will not grant the party a reward. It is not possible to die during this event. If a player gets knocked out and fails their saving throws they will just remain unconscious until the end of combat. After combat, Zhars will heal everyone for half their health, waking up unconscious players. When stating the party to be victorious, Zhars hands one of the players his shield. Upon accepting the shield, the player will almost instantly drop the shield due to its insane weight, struggling to lift it up again. Seeing this Zhars takes back the shield and instead, he takes off a set of rings that he wears around his fingers. These are Rings of Minor Proficiency . There are a total of 6 rings, one for each stat. Every player may take one ring. After handing the rings, Zhars will bid the party farewell and take off.
