Increased Demon Activity

Meydia has barely ever had any problems with demonic activity, this was due to the section of The Ashlands the borders of the region being an inhospitable desert known as the Sleeping Waste. Yet, for some unknown reason, a lot more demons have appeared in the province than ever before. Luckily, these are lower-feral demons. A subset of demons that are as intelligent as wild beasts and classified as relatively weak.
The Hunting Brigade has been attempting to keep the situation under control, but their presence in the region has never been that large. After all, Meydia is usually rather peaceful, so the brigade never had to hunt down anything else than the occasional monster that ventured down from the mountains. Due to the current situation, the brigade has been overworked, making the wilderness of Meydia more dangerous than ever. To make the situation worse, with the brigade occupied, more monsters have wandered into the province, further pressuring the hunters. Even the demonologist send by the central branch of the brigade has gone missing.
