The Steppenwolf Conspiracy

A loosely organized confederacy of rebellious druids, warlocks, clerics and others who are committed to the task of bringing all people into the flock of the Mother. The conspiracy is both secretive and patient while playing a long game of religious conquest and dominance. It is an aggressive organization particularly in regards to the followers of the Black Sabbath Mythos, confronting them when possible in what amounts to open warfare. Many cults within the conspiracy worship darker, older gods. These cults deceive the common folk by dressing their deities up with imagery drawn from the mainstream Steppenwolf faith. The Mother Goddess Rhiannon in particular is often used by the Conspiracy, but in such a way as to hide from the uninitiated the identity of the actual deity that is being venerated. Across the nine realms, many seemingly harmless interpretations of the goddess represent deities of a far more vile and foreboding aspect.
