Gaia

Gaia orbits HIP 107445 Cygnus, which is almost 500 ly from Sol. When the colonists arrived, they found a near-perfect world. Gaia is the 5th planet in the system.

Geography

Gaia has continents that stretch out in verdant plains amid towering mountains, so encouraging the newcomers that they named it Gaia in honor of Earth’s personification in ancient Greek myths.

History

Colonized by the first settlement ship to leave Earth early in 2073. After nearly 600 years in space, the ship arrived in the mid 27th century old reconing. Given the distance from Gaia to other human colonies, they were the last human colony to be rediscovered during link-up in the late 28th century old reckoning.
