Flotsam Shoreholds
A string of loosely-affiliated hamlets set along the southern shores of Rhyver Bay. Many are nameless, little more than a loose collection of huts set upon the rocky beaches, with unmarked roads leading to and from each shorehold. They pay their tithes and tributes each fall, but aside from that the people here are more than happy to be left to their own devices.
In ages past, several of the Flotsam Freeholds were prominent raider camps, sailing out to pillage trade lanes between Banteave and Norvalled. The region is still a major market for "found" cargo, but many of the raiders have moved on, driven out by the Ildrafn Militia or forced to take up less overtly illegal lines of employment. Today, the Flotsam Shoreholds attract many who would seek to be forgotten; escaped convicts, runaways, deserters and many more for whom the past is a dangerous question that need not be dwelled upon.
