Maris Whitney is a crew member of the South Sea Sailors. She originally first started sailing the seas in search of new culinary experiences. Maris was known for her fierce determination and her insatiable appetite for trying new foods. She was the captain of the ship "The Flavour Seeker" and her crew was made up of skilled sailors and experienced cooks.
Maris was not your typical pirate, instead of looting and pillaging ships for treasure, she was more interested in acquiring exotic ingredients and rare spices from all over the world. The attractive captain was also known for her impeccable taste and her ability to spot the best ingredients, even in the most unlikely places. She was always on the lookout for new flavours to add to her collection and her passion for food was matched only by her love for adventure. Maris's crew was known for their love of food, and would follow her anywhere in search of new and exciting flavours. However on one rainy night at sea, Maris and "The Flavour Seeker" were attacked by the South Sea Sailors. Her crew was slaughtered, however Nerina Morgan pled with her captain to spare Maris and told him that her cooking skills were a necessary commodity for their own ship. Luckily he agreed and Maris continued her adventurers at sea as a member of the crew.
