Emily Raine Character in The Kingdom Era | World Anvil

Emily Raine

The Sword of Morality

Emily Raine has always been an adventurer at heart and strives with every muscle in her body to become the hero she believes the people of The Isles of Isaiath need. Since a young girl Emily has always had a great sense of justice and doing what is right, making decisions that will impact others in a positive way is something she finds great joy in.   Her quest of heroism first began with etching her name in history by becoming the first ever female Justice Servant, this occupation brought the young woman some satisfaction but further highlighted the problems with the land in which she lived. The abusive tactics employed by others who she was supposed to call allies left a foul taste in her mouth, particularly Pysicel Ovinerin. To her the fellow servant of justice seemed to take more joy in inflicting needless harm to those he captured instead of lawfully imprisoning them, the obvious distain for her co-worker created noticeable animosity between them.   After coming to the conclusion that the justice system had become corrupted and filled with people who wished to fulfil their own sinister desires, Emily made the decision to denounce her title as Justice Servant and purse a different path. Ultimately she stumbled upon The Gold Plains Wanderer Guild and registered to become a Wood Wanderer, the first step in a long journey. Years past and the once young girl had grown into the rank of Steel Wanderer, yet this was only the beginning in her eyes. Raine decided that in order to keep the most dangerous criminals in check such as those within The Barrel Land Bandits group, she would need to refine her skills and also gain new ones.   In her search of new skills, the Steel Wanderer found herself in Ausraluis where she would meet Lady Sower. Emily would then spend the next year learning low tier Magical Binding from the former noble before travelling to Purude. In the dark city the adventurer would overcome countless attempts to taint her pure intentions but she remained true to herself and used those who sought to manipulate her as a vessel for knowledge.   Another year would pass and Raine would finally return from The Eastlands to The Gold Plains with new knowledge and gear such as her sword Faithkeeper. This is where she would pick up from where she left of and climb the Wanderer ranks, during this time she would assist Daeron Rahaleos in uncovering Revon's sinister intentions within House Rahaleos, among completing other significant jobs. Her accomplishments would eventually net her the title of Platinum Wanderer.
