Duke Reaven Lust

A half-Shadar Kai, half-human noble's child of the Shadowfell, his heritage earned him scorn and disrespect. Delving deep into mystic lore, he discovered rituals and ancient knowledge that could be used to demonstrate just how powerful a being of both Shadowfell and the Material Plane could be.
Ultimately, his rise to power in the Angelbark Woods lasted scarcely 6 months before the adventurers of Daring Heights toppled him down, carving his body out of the living wall of the hideous fortress he had merged with through processes too terrible to contemplate.
In all his wrath and ruin, the destruction of so many lives and the corruption of so much, all he got in return before his death was a look, a single look from a vampire amongst a coterie of Shadowfell minor nobles he had invited to show off his progress and dominion. He had been hoping for that respect he had been denied for so long, but the nobles were disinterested, even bored. But as they departed back through the portal they had arrived through, just a week before it would all come crashing down, a single vampire turned around and regarded him one more time. That look was appraising, calculating, considering and perhaps, with just a glimmer of respect.
That look would be the last thing Duke Reaven Lust ever thought about as his head was removed from his shoulders. Such is life.
