The Twin that Died - Part 2
Breathing heavily, Tycha looked down at the broken Lord of Khorne in the grip of such emotions that she barely knew what to do next.
She tore his helm from his head, and removing her own, kneeled beside him to look him in the eye. "Do you know who I am, Gouge-Eye?"
He watched her closely, searching her face but said nothing. He had no idea who she was, nor why she had sought after him with such fury, she was sure.
"You took my sister, Gouge-Eye, my twin, and left me dead. At Joergansborg…" She saw it then, the flicker in his eyes, he remembered, he realised she hadn't truly died and that she would not let him live. His service to Khorne would end because of his greatest failure. Finally, she would kill him and her nightmares would end.
"We, we took the wrong twin didn't we? It was your soul that the Blood God demanded. What a fool I have been…." He stuttered, and Tycha frowned in suspicion, this was wrong somehow. *1
Distantly the roar of Aichmos' daemon of Khorne echoed out, followed by a stupendous explosion of magical powers, drawing Tycha's eyes for just a second. But a second was all Garrev needed, for with one hand he seized at her close cropped hair and with his other crushed a small, glass vial of some quicksilver-like liquid against his armour.
"But I've known for years that you'd find me, and that there are many gods who'd pay handsomely for your soul."
She watched, ensorcelled and helpless as the battlefield and her companions disappeared from view, as she was carried away by a portal spell. The air rank with foul sorceries, it was when she noticed the tiny feathers that had begun to sprout at his temples that finally clued her in. This Lord of Khorne had turned his coat and as the clouds of magic parted and she beheld the bars of a gilded cage all around her that she realised she was in serious trouble. Garrev had sold his soul to Tzeentch and she was imprisoned in a Silver Tower.
