Aichmos - Mighty Lord of Khorne, The Barbed King
Mighty Lord of Khorne (a.k.a. The Barbed King)
Physical Description
Specialized Equipment
The Rift Axe he wields has a special connection to the Chaos Realm, once being able to cut open a direct path to the infernal realm. However, since entering the interstice he has lost this power. Despite this, it is still a formidable weapon still able to strike dead even the strongest of warriors with one precision strike.
The Red Carapace is a gift of Khorne which he wears with pride. A deep crimson, it shines like lacquered blood but is hardened like a dragon's scales. Fused with Aichmos' body, it protects him from even the most dangerous of blows, turning away all but the most powerful of weapons. Few are gifted enough to create a weapon strong enough to pierce this daemonic hide.

Personal history
Once a cruel lord that tortured enemies both true and perceived, Lord Aichmos' methods saw him rise quickly into the Blood God's favour. He would often place prisoners, dissidents and other unwanted onto the walls of his fortress which were lined with thousands of rows of barbs. Ordering them to be dragged up the walls, Aichmos would watch them slowly exanguinate as the bloody living flag was raised. It was only natural that he would become a Lord of Khorne.
Aichmos was a mighty chaos lord serving under the banner of khorne long before he ended up in the interstice. His Bloodtide warband roved the plains of Aqshy, conquering any bastion of civilization he would come across, claiming skulls and spilling blood for his glorious patron. But this was ground to a halt when the Stormcast began to appear.
While he met the challenge with fervour, the losses he suffered left him feeling embittered and listless. Despite some minor victories, his forces were repelled time and time again making him slip ever further from the favour of his blood god. While attempting to open a rift to the chaos realm, his fortress and forces were consumed by the uncontrolled portal, hurling them into the interstice.
Once they had settled into the thorn mountains, proclaiming it as the Spire of Aichmos, he began sending his roving bands across the realmscape. They decimated any opposition that they came across all the while adding more to his own forces from those that bowed to him. In this subrealm, Aichmos didn’t feel the gaze of khorne as intensely and due to this, he has become more complacent. He spends most of his time within his fortress, ordering others to do his bidding rather than joining the vanguard to seek personal glory. However, when a truly worthy opponent or powerful artefact is found, he will often make personal appearances in order to secure his rightful place as supreme ruler of his warband and territories
