The House of Gray

History

Founding

With much of knowledge of the Old Age being lost to the Judgment War and Heaven's Fall, The House of Gray is an entity obscured in a haze of mystery and conspiracy. What is generally believed in the Rebirth Era is that the House of Gray was formed early in the Old Age, as followers of the God of Order, Matis. Over the centuries they made a name for themselves as neutral mediators for various disputes and as a stout guard against the Demons of the Chaos God Phodon.

The Judgment War

Despite their vigilance, The House of Gray was also caught off guard with the rest of the races of Tabion with the onset of the Judgment War. They were constantly on the forefront, resulting in the house and those that followed them to suffer great casualties.

Disbandment

Towards the end of the Judgment War, the House of Gray was framed as the masterminds behind the Judgment War, and servants of the Chaos God Phodon. Because of this betrayal, the House found itself the target of those who were once their allies. The branches of the Gray House fell quickly to their former allies until the Main house was all that remained. It is said that when they surrounded the Head, He made a prayer to Matis, calling for judgment and retribution against those that framed his family and promising that the House of Gray would rise again before a star, the first of many that would be known as Heaven's Fall.
