Session V Report
An Old Amulet
General Summary
13th of Foen, 120 MA
After their stop at the Dwarven Colony of Keln, the party headed east for the ruined tower. They spend a day traveling, during which they creatively crossed the river coming down from Bellgren. At dusk they reached the ruins. The place looked weathered and abandoned. As they entered they were hit with a miasma of decay. The place reeked of old magic...On the first floor they found a nearly dead member of the Plate. They healed him and attempted to convince him to help them explore the rest of the ruins. Unfortunately he did not agree, and so the party decided to kill him rather than let him go and potentially report back to his group. As they explored a small flame or wisp appeared and guided them through the ruins. On the second floor they opened an ancient engraved door, revealing a crypt. Within, they found the amulet they were after. After fighting off a few shadows who were guarding the amulet, the party went into the final chamber. Some kind of sacrifice room. Here they used the amulet to cleanse the ruins of the old magic, which in turn freed the wisp. It left behind a fairly large diamond...
Before heading back, Tyseth decided to put on the amulet. At which point it connected into his skin. As they travelled the amulet spoke in his mind, asking to be fed. They then travelled back the Dwarven colony, here they rested and got a few of their magical items identified. In an attempt to remove the amulet from around Tyseth, the party went back to Hillhook. Sadly Lucia has left, but were able to find help with a nearby priest, who removed the cursed amulet from Tyseth's neck.
The group then went to speak with the old lady. After a few words, a few lies, the old lady attempted to take the amulet by force, as the party was unwilling to give it to her. A fierce battle broke out, leaving the party gravely injured. A few of the members would go unconscious in the frey. However, the old lady, who turned out to be a hag, was almost killed. Sadly, she managed to take the amulet from Tyseth and quickly vanished out of thin air...
