Southwild Lycean ("Lie-Kin")

A race of wild psuedo-men who inhabit the wilderness south of The Kaldross Mountain Range, the Southwild Lycean are an isolationist tribal society that has such minimal contact with the rest of Alwaus that many believe them to be mere myth. Lacking a formal centralized government (at least during periods without an appointed "alpha") the lycean are not a formalized cultural species recognized by The Eternal Empire(organization:8a6db90a-788b-4c6e-b6ce-84a4c57c3a3e), despite the group siding with @[The Traitor King, Marcius Lesnar during The Inheritance War  Little is known about the Lycean, even in Alvantes and The Collegiate Arcane. The species is indepedant enough to rival the Muzancab and perhaps even more feared and reviled by the species that border their territories. Unfortunately an ignorance of Lycean ways has done little to temper speculation, with exaggerated fictions about The Curse of The Lycean often being used by Kaldari parents to coerce their children into obedience.    In truth the Lycean are nearly as isolated as individuals are they are a society. While it is not uncommon for small packs to form there hasn't been a Alpha appointed in almost two hundred years, and most mature lycean prefer the solitude of the wilderness to the long term companionship of their fellows. Lycean live long lives for a mortal species, are show little passion or aptitude for community or parenthood - a likely contributor to the species lack of any real cultural progress in the last millennia. Most lycean have a distain for other species, but have been known to show a level of tolerance for the human species their form so closely resembles. Whether this tolerance is born of genuine affection or merely opppurtunism is just another question tied into the mythos of this incrediable people.
