Armageddon

"But for those who's time has passed - it will become once again. The glass veils that conceal one world from another are as timeless as a mountain - but they too will one day be ground into sand and throw away in the winds. When the veil has fallen the motherless revenant will reclaim the birthright that was stolen from them, and lay naught but ash and darkness beneath them."

  •   Long before the alvain first walked on the young soil of Alwaus and before even the first of the forsaken dragon spread their tyranny across the skies... this world was different.   Young. Unformed and incomprehensiable in though and matter - many believe it is beyond our comprehension to understand the world as it was during the time of the celestials. The first of The Goddess' children, the celestials were the most powerful souls ever conceived by our goddess. The smallest of celestials wielded powers to dwarf even the most powerful arcanists while the greatest among them were formed from the very matter and energy that became our stars, sun, and soil. They were timeless, omnipotent, and creative - each carving out a portion of this universe to stake their own claim in their very fabric of our reality.   But they conflicted amongst each other, and against the goddess herself. Ancient scriptures are either vague or conflicting, but the ancient celestials either craved The Goddess' power for themselves or grew jealous of the next line of creation the goddess was sowing. Some celestials rose up against their mother and sought to destroy her, while others still remained by their mother's side. A war in the unformed heavens was fought and the treacherous celestials were brought down, shattered, stripped of their power, and banished from existence - sealed away for hundred epochs as punishment for breaking their mothers heart.   These banished celestials have never held the gaze of The Goddess since, and as such are only referred to as Synmatre "The Motherless".   But the spirits still whisper of the oaths and curses they witnessed during their creation in the age before dragons. Those that commune with spirits know the fear and certainty they hold when daring to speak of the Synmatre. Ages may pass but the anger they hold against their mother will never fade - and when the wards she erected protecting her beloved alwaus finally break the war in heaven will rage on once more - but this time they will sweep the lands and seas off all life sown after their own creation.   Revenge against the mother that sentenced them to torment and exile. The mother who turned her back on them and did not forgive - and all existence will pay the price.
