Infirmus Urini (Incredibly Rare and Deadly Infection)
Infirmus Urini is an incredibly rare and deadly infection that is contracted by coming into contact with urine. It is unknown how this bacteria is introduced to the urine, it is often said it is located in the bladder, but the person or animal who's urine it came from are usually unaffected, so it is unknown. This is so uncommon, that it is said that those who contract it often die before anyone even realizes what it truly is. However, Pickles, the Plague Doctor/Physician, is considered a miracle worker and seemingly can cure anyone of anything.
The way this infection starts is by getting into the bloodstream somehow, via a cut or some other way of entering the body, like ingesting it or otherwise. It is a bacterial infection, and it causes the affected extremities to become dark purple, often becoming numb and having the circulation cut off. The contraction point also weeps pus constantly, often creating puddles of fluid when held stationary. It is said that this infection affects the brain, causing the infected to lose circulation to their nervous system, often causing respiratory problems, as well as difficulties staying conscious.
It is unsure how to treat this infection, however, our crew managed to notice that Pickles used some herbs, a strange syringe full of medicine of some sort, smelling salts, and some sort of medicated wrapping, and Nigel, who was afflicted with it, seemed to be just fine afterwards. Even better than fine actually.
It is unknown when this infection came to be, as it is so uncommon and rare, that there are very few documented cases.
