Clan of Chaos
The Clan of Chaos is a long defeated clan of loan sharks that would often instigate violence to get their money back. It is said that they will kill anyone in cold blood, men, women, children, no matter. Often, their loans would have a ridiculous interest rate and payback time, which is why they were so threatening. It was said that if you had nowhere else to go, then they'd find you and "help" you. When in reality, they would screw you over immensely, often causing pain or even death, to make a point. If, somehow, you managed to get on their good side, they would induct members into the clan, but that was very rare. Often the people who talk with the clan are those in need and very much regret their times working with them.
The Clan of Chaos is the group of people who killed William Buyin's family when he was a child. His father took out a loan with the clan when bills got tight and could not pay them back. When they came back to collect, very soon after the initial loan, they threatened to torture him to get the money, but he fought back, which led to the slaughter of William's father, mother, his two brothers, and his sister, Viola. William managed to hide when the chaos was happening, and he lives with immense guilt about not standing up and fighting.
As he was all alone now, with no family, he wandered the streets, becoming an orphan pickpocket. He managed to live, very menially, until one day William decided to attempt to pickpocket a man that seemed like an easy target. The man was Ludwig Guernier, a member of the Thieve's Guild, and instead of getting angry, heard young William's story, and saw potential in him as a potential member of the Thieve's Guild. He mentored the child in the ways of thievery, stealth, and defense. Eventually as William grew, he managed to grow into a strong thief and assassin. With the lessons from his mentor, he managed to single handedly take out the entire Clan of Chaos, which wasn't exactly what Ludwig wanted him to do, but approved of his revenged and helped him train for it, as well as stood by if William needed assistance. He didn't. He slaughtered them as he did his family, and that will forever seal the fate of the Clan of Chaos, as all members are dead. William did manage to not get caught, and it was ruled as a gang war.
Structure
Clan was structured in a way where there was a leader of the clan, but nobody knew who it was, the whole 'society' was very secret. There were different tiers of 'workers,' but there is no longer, since they are wiped out.
Public Agenda
To get as many people to take loans out. Ends with them killing, beating, or getting more money.
Assets
Their assets were liquidated once the clan was destroyed.
History
The Clan of Chaos did not originally start out as terrible human beings causing trauma to people, but they grew into that over time. They weren't even originally called that, that was a name people gave them towards the 20's, they were just a clan of random loan sharks originally. With each new leader, they acted out and became more aggressive. Until their inevitable defeat by William in the year 3145 EM.
Disbandment
They were all slaughtered as revenge for killing William's family. William Buyin' murdered them all single handedly
Territories
They reigned from many cities, but were supposedly originated in Daggerveil. They had loan sharks in many different towns and cities across Terra Minima, Terra Maxia, and Terra Ultima.
