Earth - Plane

Earth, a plane of existence that is perhaps named a bit on the nose, is the home of the Homo Sapiens race. If you need me to tell you what place Earth is based on, you might need to see a medical professional.

Earth is a peculiar plane of existence compared to other planes. For starters, the only sentient race that lives there is the homo sapiens, and yet, despite being alone in the plane, they still somehow manage to have eternal conflict going on in their home, sometimes warring with other homo sapiens of the same subspecies simply for hyper-specific, obscure political reasons. In addition, despite homo sapiens personally having many mythologies that reference real, existing creatures and magic that exist in Requerm, they themselves don't seem to actually have access to any of those creatures or magic in Earth. The few homo sapiens that claim to have seen these supernatural entities are often brushed off as either liars or nutjobs, despite these things being pretty common to just about every other race in Requerm. Even simple things, like ghosts, or vampires, or werewolves, or unicorns, or a functioning global economy, are extraordinary concepts to the homo sapiens upon first appearing in Requerm due to The Effects of the Dawn . Instead, technology seems to have advanced far beyond the scope of almost every other plane of origin, with homo sapiens describing devices that most other races could only dream of, such as a portable brick that can transmit one's voice across the world without magic, or a firearm that can somehow fire hundreds of bullets a second, or a large metallic device that can conjure the power of the winds to cool one's home despite the temperature outside, all powered by electrical energy harnessed from the remains of long-since deceased animals dug up miles deep into their own planet's crust. And yet a horse with a horn on its head is the weird thing to them. Okay.
