The Secrets of the Eastern Isles

The Eastern Isles: General have always kept their own counsel. It is common knowledge throughout Alven that the clans of the Eastern Isles have always jealously guarded their secrets and the Isles are always difficult for an outsider to know well.

- The Reidholm Maze and Armada

Clan Redgill - Reidholm - Eastern Isles is famous for the complexity of their fortifications. None but the initiated can navigate the corridors and secret doorways of Reidholm, the clan keep.

All of the other islands belonging to the clan have also been built to deceive the enemy. Some say that magic has played a part in the deceptive walls and spaces of the Redgill buildings.

The Clan Redgill is famous for their armada. The clan's power is on the seas.

The Reids have brought the same building skills they demonstrate with their keep to their ships. A Redgill ship is difficult to outmaneuver or board. The number of ships the clan has accumulated goes to the hundreds nawodays.
The clan has made its fortune by shipping goods from across the continent.

- The Causway

The Causway is the only landform relying the mainland to the Isles. Before bridges were spanned across its treacherous, swift waters, many mainlanders lost their lives trying to cross from one hill to another. Only a few clansmen knew (and still know) the secret underground passages and fords to cross the safely to the Inch.

- The Fairie Pools

On the island of Eelie, many legends abound of fairies trapped in the clear, blue pools flowing from the old instinct Alven Volcanoes.
The pools are said portals to the underworld.

Many a grieving family member or friend has claimed to be able to see their dearly departed in the pools reflected back at them.
As such, the Fairie Pools of Ellie have become one of the Piligrimage Sites in Alven and counts as one of its most sacred.
