Rampart Mountains
The Rampart Mountains are a long mountain range that stretches east for hundreds of miles across the High North Coast. They form the natural border between the Greenwood Dale and the Hordemarch, and are home to many dwarven mines and cities.
Geography
The Rampart Mountains stretch for between 500 and 600 miles (depending on whose map you follow) into the east. The mountains are smooth and relatively low at about four thousand feet high, and made of weathered black rock.
Fauna & Flora
The Rampart Mountains are home to many plants. Grasses and bushes are common throughout the mountains, and oak and beech trees grow on the lower southern slopes. As altitude increases, lichen becomes more common; some mountains have peaks covered entirely with it. Perytons are the most common predators in the Rampart Mountains, and are a constant danger to explorers or travelers.
Natural Resources
Stone and metal ores make up most of the Rampart Mountains' natural resources.
