Halfling

A halfling is a good friend to have. They're cheerful, they're good company, and they have a knack for pointing out the simple solution. And their cooking doesn't hurt either.
— Aedhar the Sage, on halflings.
Halflings are renowned as the most cheerful folk in the Greenwood Dale. Physically, they resemble three-foot-tall humans with round bellies and wide smiles. They tend to be extremely practical and simple, and have a knack for finding straightforward solutions to a problem. Most halflings in the Kingdom of Greenwood are farmers, and they are extremely common in the eastern dale. The major cities of the Kingdom usually have a substantial halfling minority, who usually work as craftsmen or cooks.   Halflings can also be found in the lower reaches of the Everfrost; the Venur nomads follow herds of reindeer across the permafrost. They are a rare sight in the Greenwood Dale, though an occasional trader will appear from time to time.
