Dodrians

Known by several names in its history, the Dodrians called "Gods' Warriors" in their tongue or Lacdrians called "No Gods' Warriors" and finally Lanaxdrians called "Unconquered Warriors" are a cast of elite warrior made of marble shells in the image of Classical Greco-Roman sculptures.

Sculpted from the mold made from their progenitor Dodros, the Dodrians served as Ares' honor guard after Dodros' mother Athena released him from his vow of service and expelled him from her court.

After rebelling against the gods and being creatures of stone with no means of reproduction, Aeonia and her Aeonites gave them the ability to reproduce and created the superior fighting force of the Hellecian Sector.

Physiology:

Seeing as their CHONPS Spectral Elements are primarily Carbon & Sulfur, the Dodrians possess a thick marble-like outer shell that protects a goo-like carbon center that moves its heavy limbs.

The beginning of their life cycle (thanks to the Aeonites) is as follows:

A male Dodrian offers a piece of marble from the community quarry --> drilling a hole into its center --> filling it with the male Dodrian's blood --> inserting the stone into the female's womb cavity --> molding her into a kiln --> gestating the fetus within the heat and pressure while feeding on the mother's Ichor --> after 6 months an Aeonite sculptor carves the baby's features with the gender based on the color of the fetus --> applying a Cosmic Aurora glaze and placing it in the fire one last time --> a new Lacdrian is born.

After which, the young male Lacdrians will engage in training regiments for the next 10 years to harden his shell (which is a soft stone-like skin) and strengthen their carbon core in preparation for their Day of Shattering.

Leading up to this day, the joints of the young Lacdrian will stiffen until the Lacdrian hardens into a Classical Greco-Roman statue. The young Lacdrian will then strike a pose in the hope the patterns of their shattering will make them the best warrior

The leader of the Warrior State will take a club fashioned in the style that was used on their progenitor and strike the youth in the center of its chest and shatter it to pieces.

Over time, if the youth is strong enough and the sculpting was done right, the Lacdrian will reassemble himself using the Ichor in his core and the Cosmic Aurora around him (thus becoming a man). Otherwise, the weak and/or disfigured will be tossed into the void to purge the Warrior States of any weakness.

The new adult will be fitted with his Osmiridium Couplings (to protect the gaps in the in shell around the elbows, knees, ankles, toes, fingers, shoulders, chest & neck) and finally his family's Pmnemium Alloy Armor and Warrior Scale.

Upon which, he will choose a wife and repeat the cycle all over again.

The female Lacdrians will retain this kind of soft stone-like skin for the rest of their lives (their strength is still comparable to the males) and learn to become the protector of the homestead and how to govern the Warrior States while the males are away on campaign, while still below the diarchy that governs the Patrokonoi as a whole.

Their Ichor production and connection to the Cosmic Aurora is more vital than the other three patrokonoi combined.

As they're practically made from slabs of fossilized Ichor, they're able to continually heal the cracks in their marble skin caused by the simplest of movements. More importantly, the Dodrians are able to pass on their life experiences and tradition through their Pmnemium Alloy Armor. This way the older generation's experiences on the battlefield will guide and protect the younger generations.

Before/After Karoj-Menos:

Before the rebellion against the Gods, their progenitor Dodros swore to protect his "mother" Athena after he sprung from his head as a fully grown and armored soldier.

Seeing his strength in action when fighting Athena to a draw, Ares seized the opportunity to take advantage of a Dodros who wanted to please his "mother" and be the protector her pupil Archaenus chose not to be.

He decided to teach Dodros warfare along with giving him a home, a command of his own soldiers, and enemies to fight as a ploy to discredit and defeat his sister.

Thus it was Ares who created the Dodrians as his foot soldiers. However, Dodros' sense of duty kept him and his Dodrians from dealing the finishing blow against Athena and Archaenus.

However, all of that changed when Dodros first met Aeonia while being kidnapped by one of the Cyclopes near Hephaestus' workshop.

Slaying the monster on the spot, Dodros swore to protect Aeonia always. Hesitant and somewhat apprehensive at first, the forge assistant used Dodros and his naive Dodrians to pull pranks on her parents and as her rescuers when she got in over her head.

However, by this time, Hephaestus was trying to rape Aeonia and after calling on Dodros and his Dodrians that defeated the forge god. It was Aeonia who maimed, tortured and murdered Hephaestus.
