The Community Aglow
The Community Aglow is not a neighborhood designed or built for beauty. Instead it consists of covered and open markets, spiraling and sprawling streets tucked between an amalgamation of apartment buildings built to sustain individuals and families of all sizes. The Shadowward Nest and the Penumbra Sanctuary are located on the west end of the neighborhood and provide protection and solitude to the people in the area. The Fists of Darkness frequently visit the neighborhood, ensuring that all is well and getting to know better the diverse community that’s formed there after the tradegdy in Ambermourn.
The markets in town are designed to allow the refugees to reestablish their skilled work and begin buying and selling food grown in the community garden, as well as other items and services they would like to sell to provide for themselves and their families. A few bars and restaurants have sprung up in formerly unused buildings, bringing unique and diverse cuisine to the neighborhood.
Technologies and ideologies from a wide range of locations across the universe have culminated here, showing how people survive in each other’s presence. Where there had been a fear at first of pride-based gangs forming, a strong-willed community has seemed to begin developing its own culture and pride in what they’ve built. Times aren’t easy by any means, but these are people who found each other through tragedy and are ready to survive together.
