Penumbra Sanctuary
The Penumbra Sanctuary is a massive garden and community space. The sanctuary is surrounded on all sides by a fence with a single entrance facing the The Shadowward Nest, which has a view of the entire space.
Upon entering the garden, you are met with a stone path that winds through lovely flowerbeds blooming with Onyx Odessey flowers and newly planted willow trees planted so that they will someday provide shade to this calm and quiet path.
Entering the center of the garden you find yourself in a circular space, also paved in dark grey and black stones. At the center of this wide circle is a beautiful but simple fountain, which feeds into small streams that flow in four directions towards the sides of the garden, where it lines the fences.
Surrounding this central area is a sand garden with some statues and stone sculptures occasionally strewn about and rakes placed all around.
Beyond that is the community garden, where citizens of The Orion and the Fists of Darkness plant and tend to plants of sustenance, including beds of vegetables, fruit trees and bushes, and free-standing lattices for berry and grapevines. These four sectors are covered by a greenhouse to protect these plants and allow for better growth on the Orion.
