CC:Session14:Rising From the Ashes Report
General Summary
After a month of imprisonment, Axe finally got to see his captors. Mors Plaga and The Emissary debated over what to do with the Seraph, before the Emissary explained that Axe was nothing more than bait for a bigger prize.
Thrown back out onto the streets outside of The Shadowward Nest, The Agitators were faced with more of Rali's twisted experiments. With a giant fungal coated dinosaur attacking Boots' domain, the heroes sprung to action. Mellow shaped the city to trap the beast, raising Axe to fight it eye to eye. Meanwhile Carbide and boots leapt atop it. With Vox and Gary the Grik holding down support. The party saved the few they could and destroyed the evil walking their streets.
Acting quickly to take down the escaping zombies, all but one were destroyed. With a single zombie escaping further into Blacklight Heights, they decide to pursue. Seeking signs of the creature, the Agitators met Bones. The woman told them of a creepy old shop that worried her and the quickly went inside.
7493 E Lotus Street showed signs of foul Technomancy and the corpse of a worker from Scorpio Electrics could be found. Deeper within they met a flight of Couatl led by Ichtaca. After "rough" introductions, Vox could argue they were on the same side.
Following the advice of the celestial creatures, Mellow and Vox burned the building down. They each barely escaped as the flames wrapped around them. Rising up from the flames, Ichtaca showed his pleasure with the group. He agreed to ally his flight with boots, so long as a small coven could be built in the area.
Needing rest, the group headed to The Fixed Princess for a drink. There Bones told them about recent disappearances nearby. Seeing someone who looked suspicious, Axe followed Craven outside. The shadowy reporter explained that he had an idea of what was happening and wanted to get a better look at what was happening with Mors Plaga. He told Axe that he needed to get inside and get the story of what has been going on, he agreed to help the party if they would give him a hand getting the scoop.
