Valette Fahima Renoux

Valette was created by the wonderful, amazing, kind and stupendous Pixelfun20, the genous Beta of The Half-Blood Wars.

(a.k.a. Silver)

Valette is the walking history book and encyclopedia and daughter of Mnemosyne the Greek Goddess of Memory of the 1st Half-Blood Regiment.

Physical Description

Body Features

She has a willowy, average build, light brown eyes and dark brown hair.

Facial Features

She has a slim face with slightly defined cheekbones and dimples.

Identifying Characteristics

A tattoo of three arrows emerging from a single point on the back of her left hand (the alchemical symbol for silver).

Special abilities

Enhanced Agility: Having above average agility.   Enhanced Endurance: Having above average endurance.   Enhanced Intelligence: Having above average intelligence.   Enhanced Leap: The ability to leap above average distances.   Leximency: The art of preservation, a very difficult, secretive, and highly specialized brand of magic that began when the Greek goddess Mnemosyne blessed one of her children with the power(now, it pops up semi-regularly in her descendants, called Preservers). Leximists store knowledge in specific memories that they then pass on to future generations. They do this by "storing" memories into different types of (often rare, like gold or platinum) metals that are in contact with the body, called metalmines.   Mnemokinesis: The ability to manipulate, read and control the memories of oneself or others. Valette can only read and manipulate her own memories.

Apparel & Accessories

General Attire/s: Usually she dresses quite formally, and always does her best to appear clean and presentable. She prefers expensive clothing and looking pretty, but rarely is ornate, outstandingly beautiful, or wears anything more than mascara and concealer as makeup. She loves to dress to look pretty, but always tries to make her outfits somewhat practical. She always wears several silver braces on her upper arms, hidden underneath her clothes, unless her outfit has no sleeves, in which case she'll wear her silver watch.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Personality:   Valette is a quiet sort of person. She excludes a quiet sort of self-confidence and mainly expresses it through the way she dresses and takes care of herself. She's soft spoken and kind, and rarely if ever raises her voice or becomes visibly angry. She's very curious and is always perusing new knowledge, and will often whip out a notebook in any situation to write down any new information she learns regardless of the social setting. She retains a sense of aloofness to her, but she has little problem being friendly and welcoming, though when she is studying a particularly interesting subject hardly anything can take her attention away from it. She jumps from subject to subject without much of a bridge between them when speaking, and tends to mutter to herself, even when with others. Valette is accustomed to luxury and bears herself as if she was a noblewoman, but has much experience in worse conditions and will bear them with little complaint.     Valette learns selectively. She loves studying the world around her, how people interact and react to each other, but isn't one for advanced technology or math. She is a bit of a philosopher and is always studying some new culture or religion, and will tend to relate the beliefs or experiences of bygone civilizations to current events, or even suggest religions to atheist or questioning friends (though she rarely expects them to convert, only to think about what they focus on or offer). She speaks a bit complexly and often of things her friends won't understand, but she's always open to explaining more when asked.     She rarely expresses anger and frustration, instead letting it fester inside of her and manifest through swimming (which she does as a pastime) and muttering random facts to herself. As such, she can, very rarely, explode without warning, shouting and ranting at whoever is unfortunate enough to incur her ire. She loves exploring, and despite her reserved disposition, is a bit reckless and eager to see new things, valuing knowledge over the safety of herself and any companions or friends nearby. In short, she is the source of knowledge of the group, not the voice of reason.     Valette's relationship with religion is a bit complex. Knowing of hundreds of different religions and their sects, alive and dead, she's come to decide that, with a special favoritism towards Greek mythology, she believes in all of them. Or rather, she believes in the truths each religion provides. She admires how religions originate and how they can be used for good or ill, and how they have changed the world to what it is today. She respects most, if not all, religions and their traditions. She may give Muslim or Hindu prayers if the situation is appropriate, or quote from the Bible or Book or Mormon if it helps comfort someone or boosts an argument or essay.
