Danrakyl

Geography

Danrakyl is much too large to describe it's geography in great detail, but general characteristics can be listed.
Danrakyl contains a fair few mountains spread throughout the land, with some of the largest being located towards the middle of the continent. These peaks are typically surrounded by a hilly landscape. The mountain peaks of Danrakyl are sometimes referred to as the spectating seats of the gods, due to the impressive views of the world that can be seen when standing on them. From these mountains flows quite a few streams of water, these become great rivers throughout the land, and many eco systems and nations have been shaped by these rivers and mountains.
Danrakyl has an expansive desert to the south, a desert which constantly shifts. There are large amounts of hollow space under the desert, the shifting sands will flow and fill these spaces over the years, uncovering others in the process. Some of the hollow space is so close to the surface of the desert that creatures moving in the desert can fall through at any time, sometimes these spaces will be very different from the surface, all depending on the conditions in the space and how long it has been hidden by the desert.
Danrakyl also has quite a lot of forest, however some of these are larger and denser than others. Some of these are referred to as "great" or "grand" forests, these are so dense and large that they cover so much land it rivals nations in size. Typically only the creatures living in these forests have any chance of gaining a basic layout of the forests, and it would take hundreds of years to ever map them.
Beyond these great geographical differences, most of Danrakyl is considered plains or hills, of course their exact geography can vary greatly as well.
