Four Weavers

History:

The Four Weavers is the local deity of the small town called Senicle, a sleepy little fishing town north of Fort De Namoux. The town has often reported sightings in the past about a strange dark creature lurking below the water's surface during their fishing expeditions. Though in recent years reports of sightings have all but vanished, likely due to the lack of response from the Galus Military over the centuries.

Travelers do still hear about The Weavers when they pass through the town however, the townsfolk have a shrine set up on the docks for their local god. Offerings of, and might I add specifically, medicine that reduces pain, and soft music are made at this shrine. Should one sit at the shrine long enough into the dead of night, something will bump against the bottom of the dock.

The listing structure would knock the medicine into the water, where a deep sucking noise can be heard. The locals keep their god happy because it has a penchant for protecting fishing vessels in the Pass of Trials, the creature can be seen running sharks, orcas, and other fishing vessels away from the ships docked in Senicle. The Weavers have been long relied on for protection for many generations.

The Reality:

The “four” Weavers, is actually one. It is a Vestige, one whom we know who it is. Taneth The Navigator had lost a crew mate in his scouting missions to the north under the orders of The Quartet. A Shadow had directly attacked their ship, a cruel thing that called itself Balance. Though, it has a newer name currently… I digress. Arwylyn was taken from the ship as Syn had unleashed a Pyroclastic hellfire from the nearby volcanoes down on the ship attempting to destroy the Shadow. Though in the chaos, Arwylyn was lost.

I should note that the only reason we know this, is because the Weaver still has its face. The Fae’s visage was left largely unchanged, while the rest of his body was warped into a tool used by the Shadows. Resembling an odd mix of crustacean, spider and fur seal, only he had become massive.

Armor plated along the top and underside of its body, like the carapace of a lobster, though covered in painful barnacles. Long spindly legs, presumed to be for crawling along the sea bed without disturbing the surface. He is capable of producing silk, which washes up along shore that the townsfolk use to create netting. The possible origin of the Weavers name, though during the war, we are far too aware of what it was actually used for. He sports a mane and a set of tail flippers not dissimilar to that of the aforementioned seal.

He has thoroughly lost his mind however, only ever repeating its orders over and over. I fear there is no saving this Child, Taneth forbids Anlyth or any of the legion to enter the Great Tree to put him down.
