The Standing Stones
The Standing Stones refers to the three Lokin families that have ruled over the Southern Isles for over a thousand years. During the Age of Prosperity, when the proto began to explore in every direction, some Lokin families set off with them to guide them and help them flourish in any new lands that they would find. On one of the ships sailing north were three families, The Blood of Falk, the Blood of Halvorsen & the Blood of Solheim. For many months they sailed north until a string of islands were found. When they came to shore the Hidne on board decided this was where they would make their home. After searching the island the Loka warned the Hidne that the island would not allow them to flourish. While the soil was rich and the mountains may hold resources, the island was not a large enough home for them. As the Hidne would not find comfort living upon the mountain sides. They would again set sail until a stirring of black sanded islands were found.
Once again the ships landed and again the Loka told them that this could not be their home. Dismissing their warning they made camp at night. While they slept they were surrounded by a tribe of Org-Var. The Org-Var forced them to leave. Distraught, they left but the Loka reminded them that the Org-Var were not known to let outsiders live. Again they sailed north for many days. Eventually they found another string of islands. The Hidne sought to sail past them for fear of more hostile natives. It was then that the Loka told them to make landfall. They urged the Hidne that these islands would allow them to flourish beyond their wildest dreams. The ships landed and fertile and abundant lands were found.
Over time the Hidne would inhabit and expand to the islands of Havas and the Royal islands. Here they would flourish and discover wild tobacco plants. With the help of the Loka they would domesticate the plant and produce the finest tobacco the world would ever know. Eventually at the guidance of the Loka, the Hidne would sail south to the islands inhabited by the Org-Var. On the islands later known as the Black Hills, the Hidne would offer gifts of tobacco and spices in exchange for peace. They would accept the gifts and in exchange for peace the Org-Var only demanded the Hidne to understand their culture. They would learn that the tribes of the Black Hills were the Sam-Var. The Sam-Var were tribes of Org-Var that fled during the Devastation as they could not side with Reknis after he unleashed the Dusara into the sea. The Sam-Var prayed to Hymera and thought that the waters of the land were sacred.
When peace was made between the islands the Loka decided that they would return south to the islands that were first found on their journey. There they would build their home so that they could come to help when they were needed. When they landed the Loka decided that the three families that help bring peace between the Hidne and the Sam-Var would lead them. Many years later when the islands of the Gloomy Sea began to form an alliance, the three families decided that they would crown one among them to be King of the Standing Stones. The King of the Standing Stones would ensure peace remained between the different islands of the alliance.

The Moon Fort is home to the The Standing Stones shrine of Chandro, the embodiment of the moon.Havrick, The Wind Fort
At the most northern peak of the Southern Isles stands Havrick. Havrick lies on the highest peak in the southern isles. Each day the fortress is battered by strong wind coming down from the Gloomy Sea.Ratavrik, The Night Fort
At the most southern peak of the islands stands Ratavrik. Known as the Night Fort, it gets its name from Its location on the eastern side of the mountains. From here much of the fortress is shaded during the day. The fortress watches over the open sea to the east to ensure no large fleets sail past unanswered.
