Ritual of the Bound

The Ritual of the Bound is preformed by the local elders to see if a child is bound to an ancestor. They are referred to as a bounded.

History

The first Ritual of the Bound was preformed in the frozen after the a member of a tribe heard their child speak of the blood letting as if they were there. After the elders had gathered and spoke to the child, they learned that the child spoke as an elder that sacrificed his life to help his tribe escape. Seeing that the child was bound by blood the elders knew that by blood they could see if the worlds lifeblood would allow them to know if the elder was indeed bounded.

Execution

Three druid elders gather in a triangle surrounding the child. One for each of the three plains of the world; land, sea and sky. Each druid spills their blood on the ground and then on the eyelids of the child. They then begin an incantation speaking through the child to the reincarnated. If the child is indeed a reincarnation, then they all will hear the voice of the reincarnated. The reincarnated speaks to all and vows to pass on their knowledge to the child to help guide their people.
