Mro'st

“The subcontinent of Mro'st is a mystery to much of the world. To those who have sailed north far enough have spread word of a far away land that is surrounded by a never ending storm. The great storm is said to be able to crush the largest of ships with ease. To those who have made a home in this foreign land have come to call this great storm, Mah'vos.”
The Continent of Mro'st is a mystery in much of the world. Only the Ko'Vati have reached its shores and have shared very little about the land. It's said to be surrounded by a never ending storm that sinks any ship that tries to sail there. Many have tried to sail to distant land and have been lost to the sea. It's said that the Ek'o are the only ones who have been able to map a path through the storm, others say the gods allowed them through the storm as an escape to the horrors of the Fifth Crusade having found them worthy.

Geography

The Southern Shores

To the south of the continent lies the most explored area on the continent. The Southern Shores reaches out to The Tears of Ish'san. In the last few centuries this region has become the ancestral home of the Ek'o. Following the Fifth Crusade, several tribes of men & Loh'ka braved the open sea in search of a new home safe from the genocide. Having braved the great storm they came across a seemingly untouched land that would provide for any who could survive.

The Black Cove

The Black Cove is said to be the only opening in the mountains that surround Mro'st. Any who have tried to make landfall have never been able to cross even the shortest of mountains on the continent's shores. At the furthest point of the cove lies Blackstone, a large citadel surrounded by a large city extending between the mountains at each end. Here is where the Ko'Vati made landfall and began construction of a new home. After several decades the Ko'Vati would come across the Uv'alu, the descendants of the first born race thought to have died off thousands of years ago.

The Silent Shores

To the east beyond the mountains that protect the eastern shores of Mro'st, the great storm begins to calm before opening up into treacherous waters filled with hundreds of sea stacks that are surrounded by sharp rocks strong enough to pierce the hull of even the greatest ships. Beyond the first sea stacks lies a grave yard said to be filled with any ship that has tried and failed to sail through the great storm. The few that have said they have passed the graveyard speak of great beasts that guard the only thin strip of land a ship can make landfall.

The Myriad Forest

Beyond Old Hearth lies a great forest that is said to have no end. During the first years after the Ko'Vati were discovered by the Uv'alu, the Ko'Vati were forbidden from entering the forest or they would be banished from Mro'st. Over the centuries the Ek'o have honored their wishes and have remained far from the forest's edges.

Myths

The Gods Wheel

Ish'san & Mro'st were once whole until Dai'kar broke it into two and pushed Mro'st into the distant sea. Some believe this is where the fabled God's Wheel resides. The Wheel that turns the world allows life to continue. To break the wheel would bring death to all life. Few legends speak of a vile creature that has been chained to the Gods Wheel and is forced to turn the wheel for all eternity.

Mah'vos

Also known as the great storm, Mah'vos is the name given by those who have conquered it and have made it to the land beyond. Legend says the storm was made by Mrh'sus following the Vin'mahsa. It's said he took to the sky and began to beat his wings with all his power. A great storm began to form and he hid Mro'st away from the rest of the world as all he seeked was peace after Vin'mahsa.
