A Zarthan earth rift

In the far north of Nicandria during a cold and foggy day, a large army composed of militia marched towards a rift to the elemental plane of earth. The threat was not thought to be all that great but had to be stopped before the situation could change. Unfortunately for those involved, the rift broke open and a Zarthan stepped out upon the army and almost wiped it out.   The following month was filled with panic as people thought that the city of Everglade would fall. In this desperation the House Grayfeather sent out an army of mages that subdued the rift and maneged to prevent the fall of Everglade.
