The Assembly of Masters
The Assembly of Masters is the governing body composed of the city’s most skilled professionals, experts, and leaders in various fields. Seats in the Assembly are granted based on proven mastery and are occupied by those selected from a pool of candidates brought forth by the The Council of Luminaries. Each assembly typically has up to 200 members, although the capital allows for 500 due to its extensive needs. This governing body includes members from vital industries, arts, sciences, military, and administration, ensuring that all sectors have representation in the city’s leadership.
The Assembly includes reserved seats for each of the three Great Houses and eight Great Guilds. Representatives from the Great Houses and guilds—including the Crimson Lions and Arcane Collective—serve as conduits of their respective organizations, ensuring their interests align with the city’s well-being. These reserved seats provide stability and continuity, integrating powerful entities into the civic structure while encouraging cooperation. Members of the Assembly may hold full-time or part-time roles, depending on the demands of their field, but all are expected to participate actively during critical sessions. They are occasionally assigned project oversight, military mobilization, or crisis response duties, based on their area of expertise.
